Hi everyone, welcome back to Marbella. It’s August, it’s hot and there are days when we want to do nothing more than jump in the pool at our viewings rather than showing the house.
So, in this latest instalment of our #verdinsummer, we look at some of our favourite villas with the best pools money can buy. I hope you’ve brought your costume with you!
Villa Camojan, Cascada de Camojan, Marbella
Just look at that. Cobalt blue water, greenery and the Mediterranean Sea and the cloudless skies. Pure heaven. What we love about Villa Camojan and its pool area is the way you are seemingly pulled into the natural surroundings. It draws you in from the moment you see it.
Come and visit Villa Camojan and we promise you will spend more time outside than inside. Not to take anything away from the impressive interiors but the pool and also the garden areas are simply superb.
La Isabella, Marbella Club Golf Resort, Benahavis
La Isabella, the jewel in the crown of Marbella Club Golf Resort, part of the Marbella Club Hotel, one of our favourite gated communities. Ideally for golf lovers and those that want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life in a secure environment yet still want to be just a short drive away from everything.
The infinity pool at La Isabella captivates the senses from the get go. With the superb addition of sunken sun-loungers, you can just imagine yourself relaxing with a glass of vino just watching the world go by from afar. Here you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside, all the way down to the golf course and also the Mediterranean Sea beyond.
Villa Aurora, Nueva Andalucia, Marbella
We cannot talk about villas with the best pools that money can buy without talking about Villa Aurora. This stunning modern villa in La Cerquilla, one of the most highly sought after areas in Nueva Andalucia, is home to a pool that not only has an infinity edge but also has a cascade down into a smaller pool below.
Think of those viral reels you see on Instagram with models swimming to the edge and enjoying the views. That is what you have here. Villa Aurora boasts a stylish interior with an abundance of glass doors that open up onto the terraces. In turn, drawing you in to the pool.
The Roots, Altos de Valderrama, Sotogrande
The Roots may still be under construction, but just look at it. A breathtaking example of ground breaking architectural design. Did you notice there are two pools?
Here we have space for everyone. The main pool is on the lower level, featuring a negative edge, privacy and views of the green, lush surroundings. You can also just relax and unwind here in the seating area.
On the first level we have another pool, featuring sunken loungers, as well as a separate relaxation space. Two shades of blue, seamlessly blending into the azure skies above one of Spain’s most exquisite properties.
Villa Mar y Cielo, El Madroñal, Benahavis
Not every pool has to have an infinity edge, negative edge or zero edge. Sometimes, just a normal pool is more than enough. That was our first thought when we saw Villa Mar y Cielo.
Elegant Mediterranean design blends with the pure blue tiles and water to create a distinctive and compelling image that sucks you in until you cannot resist any longer.
The views beyond are an added bonus, as are the surrounding green gardens that create a true sense of home.
So there you are. They are our top five picks. Of course there are many other properties with equally outstanding pool areas, not to mention apartment complexes that also have excellent communal pools, however these stand out to us personally.
I hope these idyllic properties have tempted you to make the move to our slice of paradise and we welcome all questions regarding the best areas to live in.
